One might question of the placement of this episode in the season as the penultimate episode, but I think it's perfect. We're waiting for her to pick Matty or Jake, and in order to do that, she needed to get her head into a space where she can make the right decision. Looking back on things really helped her get there.
– Ummm, can we put Matty and Jake holding hands and coming out as gay as one of the top TV moments of the year? Team Jatty!
– So many hilarious things happened in this episode, I don't know where to start. Hairy Jake in the Twilight spoof? Matty's "sure whatever" shrug when Jake asked if Matty would wait in the car while he banged Jenna? "Dodged a bullet!"? Team Lame?

Awkward. S02E11: "Once Upon a Blog"
We've always known that Awkward. was a much smarter show than it appears to be on the surface, but that's been especially apparent in recent episodes. The series has become ridiculously self-aware, starting with the chants of "Team Matty!" or "Team Jake!" in the comments of Jenna's blog in last week's episode and continuing last night, a fun reflection of the fervent fandom this plucky show has generated.
Self-awareness in television is almost guaranteed to be fun, but it's not always smart. Don't get me wrong, there's been no effort on Awkward.'s part to mask that it knows it’s a television show, especially in last night's "Once Upon a Blog," but self-awareness on TV needs to be used with one question in mind: "How does it serve the story?" Several of my favorite shows use self-awareness frequently to good effect, but more often than not they're just a service to the fans.Supernatural winks at the audience so often that its eyes are shut more than they're open, andCommunity (hence the homage in this article's title) has broken the fourth wall so much that it's already halfway through the fifth. Self-awareness works very well for both of those series, but I'm not sure it's ever worked as well as it did in last night's episode of Awkward., easily one of the best of the series thus far.
"Once Upon a Blog" was an orgy of "What if?" scenarios played out by Jenna. Not only was it a celebration of the show for fans, but it really nailed what the show is all about. After Breaking Bad, Awkward. is probably the most skilled show on TV with regard to making a central character's decisions and the repercussions of those decisions matter more than anything else. And in "Once Upon a Blog," we got to see Jenna's decisions played in a different way. No, they weren't "real" in the show's sense, as they were just words on a blog, spiced up for our entertainment, but they provided an adequate answer to the questions of "Why did Jenna do this?" or "Why didn't Jenna do this?" that have nagged us over the course of the series.Awkward. will be always be about Jenna Hamilton, her decisions, and sharing that experience with her, and "Once Upon a Blog" helped us recognize—through the use of exaggerated, disastrous fantasies—that maybe Jenna has been making the right decisions all along.
Or it's all bullshit, and that makes another point. The past is the past, and it cannot be undone. Jenna has to live with her decisions instead of dwelling on them. And part of living with those decisions is moving on, which is exactly what we think she did in the final moments when she made a choice between Matty or Jake (OMG). This is teenage life. Mistakes will be made, and mistakes will be lived with. It's a work in progress.

The Letter
Jenna,
As you are now, you could disappear and no one would notice. Below is a list of suggestions that you should seriously consider:
Number 1: Stop being such a pussy
Number 2: Your instincts suck. Second guess them
Number 3: The only people more pathetic that you are your friends. Drop the dead weight
Number 4: When you're pretty, you're happy. And clearly you're not happy
Number 5: Pull your head out your ass and stand out
Number 6: Nobody likes the pitiful. Stop being such a drag
Number 7: You have to be cruel to be kind.

A Friend
jenna and matty
Jenna Hamilton who, after receiving a "carefrontation" letter, has a legitimate accident, though it appears as if she tried to commit suicide. By making changes and embracing her misfortune, she becomes well-known to her peers through her Diary on Wattpad. After losing her virginity to the popular Matty McKibben, Jenna continues a secret relationship with him due to his embarrassment of her. Jenna later then begins to develop a relationship with Matty's best friend, Jake Rosati. Jenna ends her relationship with Matty to be with Jake, and both eventually agree to not tell Jake about it. Jake falls in love with Jenna oblivious to her lingering feelings toward Matty and his best friend's feeling towards his girlfriend. Towards the end of the second season resident mean girl and Jenna's nemesis, Sadie, exposes the relationship to Jake who then breaks up with Jenna. Matty goes to Jenna's house to comfort her and they end up kissing. Jake, realizing he had made a mistake breaking up with Jenna, also goes to her house and witnesses the kiss. What then follows is a public fist fight between Matty and Jake later at school and their eventual make up and a decision to force Jenna to choose between them.
Birthday Bashed
There were a million reasons why I didn’t want to get out of bed. But apparently the universe wasn’t gonna let me sleep.
After throwing a hardschool kegger, I had over three hundred friends. But I wasn’t deluded by my surge in popularity. I knew the difference between real friends and virtual ones. My real friends weren’t talking to me. Although to be fair, Ming couldn’t. Literally.
While Ming was suffering from the kissing disease, I was sick over a kiss. A drunken lip slip that had cost me Tamara’s friendship. And after alienating Matty and possibly Jake, my friendscape was pretty barren.
But making new friends wasn’t going to be a problem. I had the interweb.
…Which was full of creeps. If the day ever comes where I do want to see a random dude’s penis over a video chat, someone please just shoot me.
If my life had an escape button, I would’ve checked out for the day. There was only one small problem. It was my goddamn birthday.
And there was nothing happy about it. It was just another crap day in two thousand suck.

Best Freinds for... Never?
I never thought that Tamara and I would end up where we were. Tamara and I argued sometimes, but in all the years we’d been friends, we’d never had a huge nails-out, eye-scratching fight. But…I kind of wished we had that instead of the iceberg-tundra thing we had going on. And I didn’t know if we would ever thaw out.
I should’ve been mad at her for writing the heinous letter, but I wasn’t. I was still…in shock.
What had I done that made her write me that letter? How long had she had all these issues with me? The letter was not a random act. Everything it said had been seriously thought out. Our friendship was over. Or was it? After avoiding me for days, Tamara looked right at me, like she was totally open to my face-mail. My dad was right, she was throwing me a birthday bone. Or not…it just was a momentary mirage in the desert of dissing.
I used to feel bad for David Shapiro, eating by himself every day…until I found out he wasn’t really eating alone. He had imaginary friends. Which, theoretically, was like six to ten more than I had.
Basically, I was stuck with Valerie- my counselor. And her birthday “rap” –while well-intentioned- was about the nail in my bad birthday coffin. Up until that moment, the rumors of my death wish had been greatly exaggerated.
I wanted to leave, but I couldn’t. I had just received another gift…of the monthly variety. And since Tamara was the keeper of the back-up pants, there was no way I was getting my hands on them.

Reasonable Doubt
So Tamara didn’t write the letter. It was a bittersweet discovery. Okay, more sweet than bitter, but even though it meant my best friend didn’t totally hate me, it also meant I still didn’t know who did.
Was it possible that Matty wrote it?
If Tamara was right and he was molding me in private so he could take me out in public…then he saw me as someone who was worth putting all this effort into. Sure, it was a backhanded compliment, but in a screwed up way, maybe it was kind. Okay. Maybe that would just be totally douchey. Possibly with a hint of misguided sweetness?
While Tamara made a good case with her “Law and Order” logic, I just couldn’t wrap my mind around Matty writing the letter. I mean…He was a remedial speller. And that was proof enough for me to exonerate him

It was last day of summer camp. Time to celebrate. It was a lame afternoon dance but magic was in the air. The dorks were getting crunk and the rest of use were getting drunk. And of the first of my life since i got my braces off i didn't feel invisible.
There it was the signal. I was hoping he'd do something more inspiring
like he sniff his armpits but Matty had a hobbit of doing that a lot.
Unlike Matty i was a hot of mess nerves cause Matty wanted me, a nobody to meet him in the utility closet.

Healing Anxiety
When we try to force anxiety away,
we always fail.
Why is that?
Have you ever been in the sea and tried
to push a beach ball down under the water.
What happens?
The harder you pushed it down,
the more forceful it bounces back up.
Well, the same applies when we mentally
try to push feelings of anxiety down.
Those feelings bounce back harder.
I teach people that they have a choice.
They can either fight and resist anxiety
or they can move into true acceptance
of it and allow it to be present.
When you move into a state of true
acceptance of how you are feeling, you
create a window for your nervous system
to calm down and heal.
So through acceptance, we paradoxically
heal anxiety.
Another great paradox of healing anxiety is
that when we drop our expectation of getting
a result, we heal even faster.
Everything about healing anxiety can seem
so backwards!
I know many of you 'get' these ideas but you
still find it hard to put them into practice.
I want to share a short audio with you from
the Panic Away coaching program.
These audios are usually only for coaching
members but I really want you to hear last
Saturdays call.
On the call you will hear Patrick totally nail the
whole concept of acceptance and how it can
heal and sooth feelings of anxiety.
Listen to his words, they will inspire and
uplift you if you are feeling anxious.

Don't Be Sad When I Die
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not there to comfort you,
please know that I still love you,
cause I know you love me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
and you feel lost and blue,
I hope these words I’ve written
will help to see you through.
Someday your pain will ease,
sadness replaced by fond memories
Come tomorrow you will hear
I love you whispered on the breeze.
When tomorrow starts without me
cause God has called me home
I turn, blowing a kiss for thee
Sad that you may feel alone.
I will miss you tomorrow
as I take one last glimpse
a tear falls from my cheek
I’ll be going home.
And tomorrow will start without me
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not there to comfort you,
please know that I still love you,

How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
We are all different yet we have a tendency to compare ourselves to others. It's human nature, and while learning from others is an important part of critical decision making, if it is used to reinforce an unrealistic or negative self-image it can be an unhealthy habit to get into.
Recognize that comparing yourself to others is a bad habit.
Society often projects flawless skin, big eyes, full lips, small nose, pure white teeth, smooth and shiny hair, curvy body, and designer clothes for women and they portray them as being happy. They portray tall men with flawless skin, six packs, and designer clothes with lots of women, and they define that that is what makes a man happy. Society is extremely successful in being able to brainwash people into believing they should look a certain way, act a certain way, be a certain someone, when in reality every single one of us is different. What Society does is categorize people and they want you to believe that you have fewer rights to be happy because you do not fit an idealistic lifestyle. That's why lots of men and women resort to plastic surgery, hide away from society, and grow up thinking that there's something wrong with them. Comparing yourself to others, especially celebrities, is a fine way to throw your self-esteem down the drain as there will always be those who are 'better' than you, and those who are 'worse' than you. In the end you will most likely end up wishing you were different with thoughts of worthlessness. It takes you nowhere, wastes a lot of time, and puts you in a psychologically terrible place.
Realize that everybody is different, because we are.
People are born to be different; no two of us are the same. We have different mindsets, we interpret things differently, we have different experiences, we feel different emotions. Even identical twins are different from each other. We all will always have room for improvement; nobody is flawless, whether it is on the outside or on the inside. As much as some people may want to believe otherwise, nobody is perfect. It would be wise to stop letting people get to you, and be open-minded and aware of what you are doing to others. Something you can do is start thinking how different they are from you.
Stop being afraid to be yourself.
Whatever size, color, religion, gender, race, or sexual orientation, don't be afraid to be yourself. Nobody but you have the right to dictate what you do, what you think, and what you believe in. There is only one you; nobody has more rights over another person to live. Everybody comes into the world the same way; we all age, feel, analyze, and eventually die, so nobody is more special than another. We are all different. If you've forgotten who you are, find yourself again.
Forgive and learn.
Learn to recognize that holding a grudge only ties you down from what you really want out of life. Untie the knot and set yourself free. Better yet, analyze and learn what actually hurt you, and prevent it from happening again in the future.
Learn to deal with change and embrace it
Whatever makes you happy, whatever floats your boat.
If you feel you need self-improvement and have set yourself an attainable goal, go for it. If you believe that you really need change, do it now. Be sure that you're doing it because it will make you happier, rather than impressing somebody else. For example, stop swearing if it makes you feel better. Learn to meditate. Start helping others. Learn a new skill. Improve your reading speed. Learn how to write poetically, work towards a better grade, be nicer to someone, try to be more outgoing, train yourself to run faster, learn how to wear makeup better, find clothes that will fit your frame, be a better wikiHow contributor, work harder towards that promotion, learn to better manage your time, change your habit of being a perfectionist, etc. Do it because you feel good about it, not because you feel bad about yourself. This is your life.

A hell of your own
The roof is where
I come up for air
After the day's fighting is done
To nurse my wounds,
From my corner
Littered with dead leaves and limbs
I watch planes
Heading for greener pastures.
Why is paradise, always, beyond the skyline
Happiness, always, somewhere else
The victor, always, someone else
Why are the stars farther away than yesterday
The moon so reluctant to rise
The breeze still trapped in the trees
At this hour of retreat
Why do I think of someone
Condemned to eternal pain
Though allowed to suffer unseen

Awkward (TV series)
1 "Pilot"
In the series premiere of “Awkward.”, Jenna loses her virginity at summer camp with the boy of her dreams. She realizes getting the boy of your dreams isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when he's too embarrassed to be seen with you. Jenna also gets a 'care-frontation letter' which ends with a misunderstanding in which everyone thinks was an attempted suicide, and she starts to realize this mistake might actually be her ticket to social visibility.
2 "Knocker Nightmare"
Mean girls Sadie and Lissa snap a nude photo of Jenna in the girls' locker room and send it to the entire school, eliciting some surprising reactions. Matty says something mean about the photo and Jenna gets upset, but eventually Matty takes all the pictures down at their school and goes to her house and it ends with them kissing.
3 "The Way We Weren't"
When Jenna thinks Matty is taking their relationship public at an 'in crowd' party, she's heartbroken when he ditches her for another girl. Jenna starts to get to know Jake, and Tamara starts to make some new friends.
4 "The Scarlet Eye"
Everyone that was in the hot tub at Lissa's party gets pink eye including Tamara. When the homecoming bonfire comes Jenna wants to DTR (Define the relationship) with Matty before the bonfire where everyone hooks up.
5"Jenna Lives"
Jenna gets a strange stalker who advertises her fake suicide; after confronting him, she ends up in detention where she meets "Jenna Plus", a junior she suspects is Matty's new girlfriend. When Jenna Plus (actually named Olivia) invites Jenna to skip out on detention, Jenna finds she's rather sweet and begins to wonder if it's because of the way she sees herself that Matty isn't willing to be in a relationship with her. While talking to Jake she tells him that she likes a guy who's already taken and Jake mistakenly thinks she's talking about him. Jake later approaches her and says that if the guy she liked didn't have a girlfriend he would be all over her. He kisses her and Jenna quickly leaves, confused. Meanwhile, it turns out that Olivia is actually Matty's "girlfriend-in-law", as she's dating his older brother.
6"Queen Bee-atches"
Jenna is forced to mingle with the mean girls at an elite charity event for her mom. Later, things get even more awkward when she runs into Matty and Jake. Jake acts weird when Jenna comes in the room, and tells Matty about the kiss . Jenna and Tamara sneaks into Sadie's room and find her diary/food journal, Jenna using it to her advantage to blackmail Sadie into accepting her mom into the club, but later Jenna's mom over hears the other moms talking trash behind her back, discretely ruins a vase, and quickly leaves with Jenna. The episode ends with Jake asking Jenna if they can talk.
7"Over My Dead Body"
A mock DUI event is held at the school, and Jenna gets cast as the victim. Jake is the male lead and begins to develop feeling for Jenna and Matty gets jealous.
8"The Adventures of Aunt Ally and the Lil' Bitch"
Jenna throws a wild keg party to try to impress Matty, with help from her mom and her mom's best friend, Ally. The next day, a hungover Jenna struggles to reconstruct the events of the night, which ended with Jenna giving a lecture to Jake, hurting Matty's feelings and a kiss with Ricky (Tamara's crush who she talks about throughout the whole season). After Tamara throws out her and Jenna's best friend picture, and their friendship, she tells Jenna that she is "so glad she wrote that letter", talking about the "carefrontation".
9"My Super Bittersweet Sixteen"
It's Jenna's 16th birthday and Valerie surprises her with a birthday rap in the school cafeteria. The rest of the day doesn't go very well but at the end of the day at 7:32pm (the minute Jenna turns 16) Matty knocks on her door to reveal that he wants to be more than friends and the episode ends with them making out.
10"No Doubt"
It's a normal day at school, until Jenna notices a fight between Jake and Lissa because Jake told Lissa he kissed Jenna. This causes a weird conversation between Jake, Lissa, and Valerie about how he can make up to Lissa. Elsewhere, Jenna tries to reconnect with Tamara with help from Ming. Jenna is forgiven, but Tamara confesses she didn't write the letter and just said it because she was hurt. Moreover, Tamara voices her theory that Matty wrote the letter. This causes Jenna to rethink her "relationship" with Matty while complications arise when Matty wants to take Jenna out for dinner in a secluded area. It turns out to be Matty's family's restaurant and Jenna's concerns are resolved when Matty's uncle comments about how Matty has never taken a girl there before. When they get back to Jenna's home, Tamara and Ming bust their date with games and confessions but are soon won over by Matty's true words. Before leaving Matty and Jenna alone, Tamara whispers that she doesn't think that Matty wrote the letter anymore. In the meantime, Lissa and Sadie team up to make Jake break up his friendship with Jenna but he ends up apologizing to Jenna for the earlier fight, and breaks up with Lissa.
11"I Am Jenna Hamilton"
Matty and Jenna have barbecue with Jenna's parents, and they discuss the upcoming formal dance. Matty doesn't actually ask Jenna to the dance, but does ask her what color dress she will be wearing. Later, while still not asking her to the dance, he asks her if she is a limo girl or not. Jenna sees several boys going to great lengths to make a "big ask," by dressing up as apes, popping out of coffins, etc. Jake asks Jenna to the dance by giving her a mix CD, which has "Will you go to the dance with me?" printed on it. She tells him that she can't go with him because she already has a date. Matty and Jake talk about the Formal, and Jake tells Matty about being turned down by Jenna. Matty almost tells Jake about going with Jenna, but chickens out, and later asks Jenna if it would be okay if they skip the Formal (because he doesn't want to hurt Jake, but he doesn't tell Jenna that). Meanwhile, Sadie manages to steal Jenna's file, with the letter in it. Jenna is surprised to be nominated for Sophomore Princess, but then discovers that the ballot has her letter printed on the back of it. Jenna decides that she deserves more than Matty has offered, and tells him that she won't go out with him that night, to the Formal, or anywhere.
12"Fateful"
Jenna agrees to go to the Formal with Jake. She convinces him to take Tamara as well, since they're just going as friends, and Ming tags along as well. Matty decides that he won't give up on Jenna and goes to her house, only to find that Jenna has already left for the Formal. Jake and Jenna have a good time at the Formal, and Jenna decides that maybe Jake is the one for her and they kiss, but then Matty shows up. Without either of them letting Jake know what has happened, they talk about whether they should be together. Jenna takes Jake's hand and realizes that that's what she wants, and tells Matty that she's very sorry, but she thinks it is too late. When Jake and Jenna get home, and they kiss again. She asks him if he wants to come inside since her parents aren't home. He does, but she asks him if it's okay if they wait, and he says of course. She tells him that holding hands mean a lot to her, since he's the first person other than her parents to hold her hand in public. They manage to set off the alarm, and Jake goes home. Jenna, looking for the alarm code, goes into the junk drawer and finds a note pad that has the same paper the letter was written on, and realizes her mother is the one who wrote the letter.
Panic away ( book )
anxiety (fear feeding off fear) is broken and a natural state of calm returns.
The Panic Away Program teaches a person how to achieve this in a very simple, yet powerful way through
the 21-7 Technique™. The panic attacks are eliminated by using the 21 Second Countdown and the general
anxiety is lowered right back down to a normal level using the 7 Minute Exercise.
The 21-7 Technique™ removes the fear and creates an opportunity for healing to occur. Anxiety disorders
are not permanent; don’t let anyone convince you differently. When fear and confusion are removed,
the body heals itself naturally within a relatively short period of time.
Up until now you may have felt very misunderstood and isolated, as those around you fail to fully
understand what you are you are going through. People close to you want you to feel better but can
sometimes make unhelpful remarks like ‘you have to just learn to relax’, ‘it’s all in your mind’, and ‘come on,
pull yourself together’. Such remarks are generally made with good intentions but prove of little value to the
person experiencing an anxiety disorder.

My Own Heaven
Sit for a minute and hold my hand.
Let's dig our feet into the sand.
Listen to the waves crash on the shore.
Let's want a little and then yearn for more.
Let's feel the sun upon our faces.
Let's travel to new exotic places.
Let's appreciate the things we've got,
Even if it's not a lot.
Let's feel the wind flow through our hair.
Let's feel heaven as if we were there.
Because my love you are next to me
And there's no other place I would rather be.

In today's world anxiety problems are still very
misunderstood by most people.
If friends or family know you have an anxiety problem
they 'kind' of understand but often lose patience, -especially
when it comes to the big occasions like family events or
holidays.
You go out for dinner with friends and all you can
think about, is if there is a safe toilet cubicle to hide in.
You wake in morning and get sucker punched by feelings
of anxiety.
You go to work and are terrified your cover as a 'normal person'
will be blown. It can be relentless!
You need someone on your side who understands these
fears.
Here at Panic Away we're on your side, we understand
what you're dealing. We are here to root for you!
Over the years we have built a system of tools and support
to help you when you need it most.
I know you will come out on top but I am sure there are times
when you feel down and can't keep your motivation up. So how
do you deal with this?
You do two things.
1. You must find a strong reason to end this anxiety problem
What's really important to you?
What do you want to achieve in life?
Who do you want to be there for?
Identify the strongest thing and harness that energy to drive you to
take action. You have to take action to get a result.
2. Find your real supporters
Surround yourself with the right people for success. Everyone has
advice for you but is it the right advice?
Go to a source you can trust and find people who understand you
and have the right knowledge for you to succeed.
You're here for a reason; you matter. Don't let anxiety steal that
from you.
If you are ready, we are waiting to root for you!
